Bun

For more fullness, use a bun donut or tease your hair slightly. If you don’t have a bun donut, a sock works too—cut off the toe end and roll it into a donut shape. The style not only sits well but also saves your bad hair day.

Using a bun donut:

First, brush your hair thoroughly and tease the hair at the back of your head. Gather your hair into a tight ponytail. Secure it with a hair tie and slip the bun donut over the ponytail. Now distribute the hair evenly around the donut. Next, place a thin hair tie over the hair around the donut. Divide the hair in two and wrap the sections around the donut, making sure the donut stays hidden. Pin the sections around the bun with bobby pins and use hairspray if you like.

Braided Styles

Braids help hide greasy hair and are perfect for bad hair days. They look beautiful and go quickly. You can braid your hair however you like—every braid looks great and helps your hair look polished. With a braid, you can conceal unruly ends and refresh your look at the same time.

Ponytail

The ponytail is an absolute lifesaver on bad hair days. To make it look even better, tease a section of the top layer slightly. That gives the ponytail more volume and a prettier finish. Tease the hair at the crown, gather it into a ponytail at the back of your head, then push the ponytail up from below with hair clips so the hair looks fuller.
