Kitchen:#
You can use vinegar for many things in the kitchen. Descale your kettle with a few splashes of vinegar and plenty of water. If you want to replace rinse aid in the dishwasher, vinegar works for that too. To make the sink shine or clear fat from the drain, pour a little vinegar down the drain and then flush with hot water from the kettle.
Bathroom:#
After descaling the kettle, you can pour the boiled water-and-vinegar mixture into the toilet. Let it sit for about 10–20 minutes, then flush. The toilet will be clean. You can also clean the washbasin with vinegar — it’s perfect for limescale. Plus, you can use vinegar as a fabric softener substitute by adding a splash to the detergent compartment.
Living room:#
Mix a little vinegar with water and pour it into a spray bottle. For bad odours on the sofa, spray it on and then wipe with a cloth. You can clean your windows streak-free: hold a microfibre cloth under cold water, then add a little vinegar to the cloth. Wipe the windows and let them dry — they’ll dry without streaks.
Bedroom:#
You can clean your mattress with vinegar too. Sweat stains and other marks are hard to remove from a mattress. The vinegar water in your spray bottle works for mattress cleaning as well. Spray vinegar on the stained areas, then clean with a sponge and water.
Vinegar tackles grease, dirt, limescale, mould, and bad odours. Give it a try!
